Everything You Need to Know About Eyebrow Lifting

Eyebrow lifting is a cosmetic surgery procedure which is used for raising the position of the eyebrows, which may often look frown. The main reason for this is that over time, skin loses its elasticity, leading to a downward movement phenomenon, known as ptosis, which is very common in most patients deciding to undergo this kind of intervention. People who resort to eyebrow lifting are aged over 40, but surgery is recommended for anyone, regardless of age, as long as there is discontent on the physical appearance.

Preoperative Preparation for brow lift

Before the eyebrow lifting surgery takes place, your doctor will recommended a set of tests to reduce the risks involved by the operation. Giving up aspirin and direct sun exposure should also be avoided as much as possible for two weeks before the operation. Finally, smokers should quit this vice at least one week before surgery.

Eyebrow lifting is performed through small incisions of 3 - 4 mm in the area of the eyebrows. This action raises them with about 6 - 8 mm, improving the field of vision for the patient and creating a more youthful face. The operation is generally performed under local anesthesia and takes about 30 minutes. The final result will be raised eyebrows, achieving a more expressive and relaxed face.

Possible complications of brow lifting

Complications are rare, although they cannot be overlooked, as in every kind ofsurgery. There is the possibility of bleeding, accompanied by small signs of bruising and a mild infection. By following the doctor's instructions exactly, you can avoid all these possible complications.

Recovery from eyebrow lifting

Daily physical activity can be resumed after one or two days. During the first week after surgery, adopting a proper hygiene and paying greater attention in terms of the face and forehead is also required. If there is pain, analgesics are recommended, while it is also advisable to avoid very hot baths, as well as sauna and sun exposure for about 1 month.

This sounds so simple. I would love to have it done and you presented great information. What happens to people with extremely high eyebrows like Carrot Top or ? Was this caused by a total face lift?
